I was playing chess online against a random opponent who soon started swearing/abusing/insulting me once he lost the game. Clearly he was very immature, but he even sent me a threat by saying he has my computer IP address and he's going to find me in real life. Is it possible he can do this? Or was he just saying that to scare me.Is it possible he could do this?
He is speaking out of anger. No its not true. He will not find you even if he could. Tommorow you are nothing to him but a lost game in chess..thats all.. Some people simply dont know how to lose.

It's quite possible that he has your IP address, that's not hard to do, but it's impossible to find in real life with just you IP!

I think he can find where you're from but not your specific location (ie city, but not address). Also, what is he going to do to you in real life? Lose at chess again?
