Is it a bad thing to believe in God just because I found there was a bottle of European beer left?

I recently lost my job.



So I decided right now, what I wanted to do was play chess. I went back to the chess books and the chess computer for a couple of weeks. And I decided while I was at it, I'd enroll in a local tournament.



Well tonight, I just scored a draw against an expert player for the first time in my life.



At least that's going well.



So getting home, I found out the other night, I hadn't drank all of the European beer. And in that instant, I thought: There must be a God!



Was that wrong or blasphemous? From any perspective, atheist, Christian, whatever...Is it a bad thing to believe in God just because I found there was a bottle of European beer left?
I guess this is from the perspective of one Christian (kinda a new believer so I'm not sure how well my views reflect the view of others)



I think it's just fine. I decided to believe in a God because I thought "why not?". I thought that if either way I was gonna die physically but was told that I could live and all I had to do was believe, then why shouldnt I? So that's what I forced myself to do :P
no, it's not blasphemous. Beer is good, right? Since when does the devil do anything good? That 8itch would have poured it down the sink, pissed in the bottle and handed it back to you saying 'drink up'.Is it a bad thing to believe in God just because I found there was a bottle of European beer left?
Life can have blessings in it if we have our hearts open to that kind of thinking !!! You won at chess and that put you in a positive frame of mind and you found a blessing !!!
