I'm looking for an old computer game?

Alas, I don't know it's name but you still might be able to help me.

The game was played on an old imac and I think it was found on Downloads.com originally. It was a strange version of chess, that didn't play at all like chess. Each level was a different shaped playing board and faced you against enemies that grew more difficult to defeat, each turn you would recover a certain amount of mana that I think increased the more flags you had captured and would allow you to spawn more pieces on your side of the field. The goal of the game was to capture all the flags on the field to progress to the next level. I can't for the life of me recall what this games is called, nor can I find where to download it anymore. Help?I'm looking for an old computer game?
I don't know what the game is, and not having a name for it doesn't help. You should search for old computure game websites that allow downloads. You can esaily find the game....if it was good
