How successful was the Turkish soap opera 'Thousand and One Nights' in Turkey.?

They are putting it now on the TV channels of the eastern and central Europe, but the reception of it did come with mixed feelings.

Some love it and some hate it because of excess emotions (crying, female hate, greed, etc...etc...).How successful was the Turkish soap opera 'Thousand and One Nights' in Turkey.?Many loved it. After a quick dinner, family members took the reserved seats. Phones didn't ring, home works were not done, babies left crying, linens helped handkerchiefs, silent streets finally took a break. It's watched, the worst thing was the time didn't fly between two episodes, it was like Thousand and Two Nights. How successful was the Turkish soap opera 'Thousand and One Nights' in Turkey.?The primer episode was totally sexist and
demeaning toward women, and because
of that, voila, success, although it was protested
and shunned by the right groups, it still
managed to get a large faithful following, apparently
many folks were not concerned with the harm of such a negative
subliminal effect, especially when allowing their children
to watch ......
Personally, this soap dopera sounds like a bunch of crap to me..How successful was the Turkish soap opera 'Thousand and One Nights' in Turkey.?It was very succesful, although I never watched it. I don't really like Turkish tv shows, like you said, too much unnecessary drama. It bores me. (And I'm turkish too, what a controversy)
