How can i play chess against the computer?im not yet good enough to play even against the beginners....thank?

If you have a computer chess program like Chessmaster or Majestic Chess, simply use the "set up board option". This way you can have the computer start off with whatever handicap you want such as only one rook and one bishop. Or take away it's queen...any combination is possible. This way, you can practice against the computer, and when you win, you can then give it back a rook or a bishop and try beating it again. This way you will actually be able to see your progress as you make the computer stronger and stronger.



Computers are very difficult to beat so don't be discouraged. You'll find that after playing a computer alot, even if you've lost most of your games, when you play a real person you will be a much better player than you used to be.

Get a free online account at pogo.com. They have all levels of players ready to give you a game. Enjoy!
you can intall Chess Master 4000 in your computer, go to option and select an new player (beginer) and yu can play with this player

Set the computer to the lowest level. Then you'll be able to play it and possibly even beat it.
