Castling is a special move using one rook and the king.
Castling is the only time in chess in which you can move two pieces at once.

There are two varieties of castling: kingside and queenside.
Remember, in both (kingside and queenside castling):
the king always moves two squares toward the rook with which it is castling,
and then the Rook (switches) moves to the other side of the king.

TIP: Top players castle early in nearly every game.
It makes the king safer, and also gets the powerful rook out of the corner.

You can only castle, if all of the following are true
#1- Your king has not moved yet;
#2- The rook you want to castle with has not moved.
#3- There are no pieces between the rook and the king;
#4- You are not being checked. (You can't castle out of check!);
#5- The process of castling will not put or land the king in check.
#6- The king and the rook must be on the same rank
鈥?鈥?(to exclude castling with a promoted pawn).

Yes it is called castling. You can castle king side or castle queen side. If you are white to castle king side

1) your bishop and knight on the right side of your king must not be in the way.

2) Your king and rook must not have previously moved.

3) Then simply move your king two space to the right, and the rook while swing around the king all by itself.

Note there are some conditions:

1) You cannot castle while in Check (when another piece is threatening your king)

2) You cannot castle through Check (if an opponent's piece has influence over the necessary squares you need to castle)

To castle queen side, move your king two spaces to the left and the rook will swing around. This time however the queen, knight, and bishop to the left must not be in the way.

If you are black to castle king side move to the left two spaces, or to castle queen side move two spaces to the right. Once again the squares must be vacant, and no opponent's piece can have you in check. And once again the king and rook must not have previously moved.Chess titans game on computer keeps switching the king with the tower?
Well you need to make sure that the king and the tower are moving for the first time while switching.

If you have already moved any of the 2 then the switch does not happen.

This is called Castling.

Move the camel and the horse that are between the two so that king can switch with the tower.
Its a real chess move. it can only be completed when the king and tower have not been moved before you do the "switch move". dont know what game this is but this is not a bug or something wrong.
