No ******* way.
Don't listen to anyone who said you won't, i taught my 6 year old son how to play and left him playing chessmaster 9000 on the PC, he got hooked and played it every day after school, about 2 months later he was bored and asked if i wanted a game he beat me 3 games in a row, he's now 15 and whenever we play it's very rare that i win. Will playing 1 ******* chess game a day help you get a lot better at the game over time?
try playing for a month and if your like really good at it...then stop playing for a year or two(whereas within this years try thinking chess everyday)...

after that period practice a match online or in person...after 1 day of practicing you will see you have gotten a lot better on it...

i tried this and it really worked...XD...time consuming though...(lots of time consuming)...XD
I played chess for about 4 years, and I found that the more I played the better I got so yes I would say that playing one game of chess a day would help. A LOTWill playing 1 ******* chess game a day help you get a lot better at the game over time?
Solving each day chess tactics problems also help improve.

well it depends on if the people you are playing are any good, and weather or not you are naturally good at chess
No it will not.

I just want to comment on this post. Playing chess but not studying it will not improve much a player. If you will look at chess online players, you will see thousand games on their credit, but their ratings are low. Their ratings are low and they are stuck at that level for years, cause they never study chess. There are period that I have not played for long time and yet every time I play against players that plays a lot but never study chess concepts, I always beat them. The reason is cause I have studied chess concepts like tactics, positional and endgames. I taught my 6 years old nephew chess concepts for a few days, and he already beat his father. And now, his father can't beat him and his neighbors who are clueless about chess concepts.

Yes your son improved(but not that much)by playing a lot but on what level? In chess there are many level like novice, advance beginner, master level, intermediate level. When a player plays for many years it does not mean he is an intermediate level. His level will reflect on how strong the players he beat. To see at what level your son is, let him play players with 1400 above rating, may it be online or over the board, and see if he can win against them. Let him join chess tournament, to see how he will fare, sorry to say but strong players there(they knowchess concepts) will beat your son.
No,

Playing a massive amount of games like that won't make you a better player if you want to get better.......

1) Take one day at a time study and learn the right way to think and play Chess there's no rush

2) I highly recommend taking lessons from a GM IM or WGM regularly without a teacher with experience and patience the road to improvement as Capablanca said in his book Chess Fundamentals is a very rocky one

3) Play slow games as often as you can on ICC they have tournaments with 45.5, 20.0, 60.0 time controls stay away from blitz it`s junk food with 300 calories if you have a Chess Club in your area join that you can learn alot by watching the masters and strong players of the Club play

If you want respect from other players whenever you lose no excuses learn from your mistakes and show good sportsmanship nobody likes a whiner or someone who can't shake hands and accept the other guy was a better player.
