Ok so im getting really mad because im playing chess titans on my computer against the computer and it always manage to win -__- i think it cheats or something but its totally aggravating me could someone teach me how to play? what are the rules or whatever and what is the name of each piece and what beats whatDoes anybody know how to play chess?
chess is a game of strategy.

i would look up some techniques, but above all else, keep your king in a safe position. As stated earlier, he only moves one position- any direction, so he's extremely vulnerable to use to attack with. Any peice can remove another, as long as its within its movement requirements.Does anybody know how to play chess?
I hope this helps:

1. the object of the game is to trap the opponent's king (checkmate)

The peices

1. Pawn

The pawn is the smallest peice and they the whole second row of the board. On the first move the pawn can move two spaces but after that only one. To capture a peice, it must be diagonal forward from the pawn in either direction. If a pawn makes it all the way accross the board, it can be exchanged for any peice besides the

2. knight

the knight is the horse peice. it can move in an L-shape (3 by 2) and jump over peices in its path. the square on which it lands must be free of all peices unless the landing square holds the peice to be captured

3. bishop

this is the pointy-looking peice. the bishop can move along diagonals that are the same color as the square the bishop is on and cannot jump over peices

4. rook

the "castle peice" can move back and forth vertically and horizontally (not diagonally) along uninterrupted board space as

5.queen

this is the most powerful peice. the queen can move vertically, horizantally and diagonally along uninterrupted board space

6. king

the king can move one square at a time vertically, horizantally, or diagonallyDoes anybody know how to play chess?
