Best place to play chess online?

I enjoy playing chess, and prefer to play against other people rather then the computer. I have a chess.com account but find the nonstop popups and constant pushing to pay annoying, also there is a chat bar on the bottom of the site I cannot get rid of.

Is there a good online chess site with no popups, no myspace style chat that alows yo to set the games pace (one move per day or 3 days) as I make my moves in the morning before work but dont spend a lot of time online

I'm looking for a chess only site not a game siteBest place to play chess online?
Hello,

I enjoy turn-based chess games on GameKnot, which is a chess-only site. It comes with some level of advertisement in the free version, but no annoying pop-ups or chat bars. Give it a try. You can choose the pace as well.Best place to play chess online?
Well if you have a Apple laptop or computer there is an application for it. To get to this application go on the top of the screen and you will find a magnifying glass. Once you click on it you just have to type in chess and click on the top hit if it says chess. The you can play and save your game when ever you want. You can also undo your moves and play against the computer.Best place to play chess online?
one move per day?
In my past experience I have used many online chess sites. The best of these is definitely Chess.com. Chess.com has many great attributes:

1. Great online community. There are forums where you can teach or learn about chess and other things.

2. Online play, where you can play games over a long span of time. When creating games, you can set the time limit, such as one move per day and all the way up to one move per 14 days.

3. Live chess, where you can play online in real time.

4. There is a chat window, but if you feel like you do not wish to talk to your opponent you can turn this feature off.

I hope this helps you! It truly is a great site for players of all categories. My name online is ssnyder...look me up when you join. Maybe I'll play you.
