Can I play chess over the internet using the Apple software?

So both my father and I have apple computers and with an apple there is a program that allows you to play chess. I've only played it against the computer. I am wondering if there is anyway I can play chess against my father, as opposed to the computer, over the internet.



Or is there any other website you recomend that allows you to play chess. A website that isnt as busy as yahoo. looking for simplicity.
